DawnDesk v0.9.5 introduced the first complete DawnDesk desktop experience: a local-first productivity workspace built with Tauri, React, and TypeScript, combining core workspace apps, native video tooling, and initial documentation.

Core Workspace

Video Editor timeline upgrade

DawnDesk v1.0.2 focused heavily on making the Video Editor feel more like a real timeline editor, with timeline-based effect elements, richer text overlays, keyframe instants, improved media handling, stronger preview/export parity, and better track controls.

Timeline Effects

Added timeline-based effect elements tied to media clips, draggable effect bars, duration control, non-overlapping effect lanes, better colors, and sidebar editing for selected effects.

Text and Keyframes

Added Zoom and Text Overlay effects, keyframe instants, draggable markers, easing/interpolation options, bezier controls, and a visual curve graph editor.

Editor Workflow

Improved multi-clip move/trim, collision checks, snapping, ripple delete, close gaps, insert gap, group/ungroup, waveform rendering, timeline thumbnails, track controls, and export behavior.

Windows and Linux release support

DawnDesk v1.1.0 expands the release system from Windows-only builds to Windows and Linux, removes the unused auto-launch system, updates version metadata, and keeps the Windows installer branded with DawnDesk artwork.

Cross-Platform Releases

Updated the GitHub release workflow to build and test DawnDesk on both Windows x64 and Linux x64.

Linux Build Support

Added Linux Tauri dependencies and Linux FFmpeg/FFprobe sidecar preparation so Linux release artifacts can be produced alongside Windows artifacts.

Installer and Settings Cleanup
